Digital Art is new for me. I first began exploring Adobe Photoshop as an experiment and challenge to see if I could learn how to do it. I was surprised how expansive it is and how immersed I can get. I love how it informs my painting and fills me with wonder at what I discover each time I head into the lab!
These four pieces are visual essays of our family. I am usually the one photographing so in order to be represented I use shadows, reflections or parts of myself in images. These whole pieces are self-portraits AND family portraits that connote legacy, sustenance, connection and future, time travel in a way and a nod to what’s coming next.

I am inspired by and love what I am learning and creating with this medium. Combining, collaging, layering, building, images and textures. This reminds me of the magic of printmaking. Also, I get to collaborate with friends. Several of the pieces below are created with images from other artists who generously shared images that put us in dialogue together.
